Progress Report Kevin
Still working out! It has been a while since I have posted on the blog. I am still working out almost every day. I have been riding my bike on a very high resistance to build some muscle in my legs. I will work on longer distances as I get closer to the big date. Basketball season is over so I can't count that as a workout for the day but I am playing mixed doubles with Roxanne. Not really a workout but I guess it is better than nothing.

Finally bought my bike
Here is what my bike looks like. I finally pulled the trigger on a bike. I wanted to spend less than $1000 on a carbon fiber bike. This bike is not carbon fiber but it has suspension and is the most aerodynamic bike ever made. I bought it from a guy in phoenix. I have also purchased a bike trainer so I can start riding indoors. Softride bikes are made in the USA and are great triathlon bikes. I am so excited to start riding!

Progress report Kevin
Ran 5k today is 28 minutes. I have been playing basketball and I don't even get tired like I used to. I swam a couple of times last week and I am having a hard time swimming more than about 6 laps before I need to rest. Hoping to do more swimming. Wife bought me some new goggles and a hair cap. I hate that I smell of chlourine even after showering after swimming.

Progress report Kevin
Fun 4 day weekend at the Morley's and Riley's. Had a good workout with Jer doing 3 miles in 27 minutes. Also ran when I got home from the trip and ran 3 miles in under 30 minutes. I was a little slower because I drank about 2 sixpacks of DR. Pepper over the 4 day weekend. I did not workout today. I am still looking for a Carbon fiber tri bike for less than 1k and I am determined to find one on Ebay that fits me.

Progress report Kevin
I am now running 5k in under 28 minutes. I am going to look at past results for my age group to set a new goal for the 5k. I started swimming and I have been to the pool a couple of times. I don't think I will have a problem with the swim but I will not be vary fast. I was swimming with an experienced triathlete last saturday and he said I have very poor form because when I breathe I pull my head out of the water too far and it slows me down. He gave me some pointers on the swim that I will try to implement. I am looking for a bike on fleabay and craigs but I have not pulled the trigger because I am looking for my size in a carbon frame that is under 1k. No luck but I am determined to find it.

Giving my legs a rest today because yesterday I overdid it a little yesterday. Ran 4 miles and the knees are taking a little pounding. Starting to look at bikes. I want to buy a bike online and have my local bike store put it together and buy a indoor wheel trainer to put the bike on so I can get comfortable on a bike.

Progress report Kevin
I you haven't signed up for the Triathlon do it NOW! I ran and walked 4 miles today. I tried to run for 3 miles straight but couldn't do it. I am still trying to cut out Dr. Pepper from my diet but I am not having any luck. I went out on a date with my cute wife last night and I can't have a meal without it. I am drinking alot more liquid and I had a massage yesterday. My back and shoulders have been sore from all the running.
